John Hughes

John Hughes the father of 4 and step father to one with 8 grandchildren and 3 great children. Husband to Pearl Hughes. An amazing selfless man who went above and beyond for his family.
John appeared to be grumpy but actually had a very dry sense of humour which often had friends and family in fits of laughter. He was a keen gardener and enjoyed a drink or two. We shared many amzing holidays and created many memories but this one time really sticks in my mind. We travelled to Rhodes, Greece, we visited Pefkos beach and hired a sun lounger, John sat on the end of the lounger and it went up in the air throwing John to the floor. We howled laughing throughout the holiday.
John suffered a long hard battle with a rare melonoma which eventually spread throughout his body and sadley took his life. He never complained and fought right until the end.
