Set in the heart of the Springhill gardens, the Makin Memories Tree helps us remember loved ones who have sadly died. The Makin Memories Tree offers a meaningful way to remember someone you love, whilst helping Springhill Hospice to provide crucial Hospice care and make every moment count across Rochdale, Heywood and Middleton.
You can choose to dedicate your leaf in memory of your loved one, to mark a special occasion, or to recognise the contribution that you, or someone else, has made to the Hospice. Each leaf represents someone special, each with their own unique meaning.
You will be asked to make a donation to the Hospice which will include the cost of producing an engraved leaf with your personal dedication, that will be placed on the Makin Memories Tree for a year. After this time, you will be given the option to renew your leaf for further years or collect your leaf to treasure.
Once your leaf is installed, you will be invited to come and view your leaf on the Makin Memories Tree. Please allow a minimum of four weeks for your leaf to be engraved. Prior to engraving, you will receive a certificate confirming the wording of your inscription. Inscriptions should be a celebration of your special person, and will be displayed alongside others for everyone to see. For this reason, we respectfully request that dates of death are avoided.
