We will treat each order for goods as an offer by you to purchase the goods in accordance with these terms and conditions.

We will acknowledge receipt of your order by e-mail.

No order submitted by you is accepted by us until we confirm in any durable medium which includes email its acceptance. No contract shall exist between you and us until we confirm our acceptance of your order in this way. Please note that our acknowledgement of receipt of your order is not our acceptance of your order, which we will send separately.

We reserve the right to place restrictions on the volume of any goods ordered.

In deciding whether to accept your order we may use the information you have given to us, or we already hold about you, or which we have received from any enquiry we may make with various agencies, to confirm your identity. This assists us to protect you and us from fraudulent transactions. If we decline your offer on security grounds we may contact you to seek payment by an alternative method.

Product Images and Description
All product descriptions and content on our website or otherwise issued by us are intended merely to present a general idea of our goods. Please note that the colour of images shown on our website may be affected by the technology used to access it. Whilst we do our best to faithfully reproduce colours, some variation may occur. If you require any further details, please contact us by e-mail, providing details of the additional information needed. However, if you buy goods which are not as described/have an unsuitable specification which was not apparent from our website we will at your option either replace the goods or accept their return and refund any money paid for the goods. We will bear any necessary costs incurred in replacing or repairing goods that are faulty or not as described.

Price and availability
The price of our goods is shown on the relevant page detailing the goods. This price is inclusive of VAT where appropriate. All profits go to Springhill Hospice.

Delivery charges are calculated for each product or nultiple products and are based on postage to any UK mainland address and Northern Ireland (excluding offshore territories). These charges cover packaging, handling and delivery. Orders are usually processed within 48 hours, and are dispatched to arrive within 5 - 10 working days using Royal Mail standard delivery.

If goods are unavailable or we need to vary the price to take account of any site errors or errors or omission in the price displayed on our website or in any confirmatory correspondence, we shall notify you by e-mail and allow you an opportunity to cancel your order.

Non UK customers
Whilst our website is designed with UK customers in mind, we welcome enquiries from customers outside the UK. Prices may vary due to additional delivery charges. Please contact us at fundraising@springhill.org.uk to discuss your order today.

We accept payment by credit and debit card only for website orders. If you wish to make alternative arrangements for payment please contact us by calling 01706 641790 (opt 1) or emailing fundraising@springhill.org.uk

The person ordering must be the credit or debit card holder or have the cardholder’s authorisation. Should the cardholder deny authorisation at a later stage, criminal charges may be brought against the person placing the order.

If we do not receive any payment on the due date then we may delay delivery of the goods until such payment is received by us.

We can only accept payments in GBP (£). If anybody wishes to make a donation or pay for a product in a different currency please contact the Fundraising Office on 01706 641790 or email fundraising@springhill.org.uk

The goods will only be owned by you once we have received payment in full.

In order for us to process your order for delivery, you must ensure that you provide all necessary postage details including the correct delivery address.

Your goods will be delivered within a maximum of 30 days from the day of your order.

In order to deliver your item(s) efficiently, we may package and post multiple items separately.

Once items have been delivered, you will be responsible for them.

Limits of Liability
This website or any part of it may not be compatible with your browser or computer configuration and we make no warranty that it is. We make no warranty that your access to our website will be uninterrupted, timely or error free and we will not be responsible if we are unable to provide the website for whatever reason.

Nothing in these terms seeks to limit or exclude our liability if something we do causes death or personal injury through our negligence or if we cause damage to your property and that cause is our fault.

  • Provided you are not purchasing the goods for business purposes, we are also not seeking to exclude or limit our responsible for loss caused by:-
    the goods not matching our description of them;
  • the goods not being of the quality you would expect of the type of goods;
  • the goods not being fit for their intended purpose;
  • us not having the legal right to sell the goods to you.

Other than the liability we have accepted as described above, we will not be liable for any losses that you suffer as a result of any breach of our agreement except those losses which are a foreseeable consequence of the breach. In particular, since the goods are provided to you as a consumer, we cannot accept responsibility for any losses related to any business of yours such as lost data, lost profits or other business loss that you may incur as a result of any breach of our agreement.

We will also not be liable for direct damage or loss of any nature caused, or contributed to, by any defect in or failure (whether partial or complete) of any part, material or design which was not wholly manufactured or provided by us, and which we could not reasonably have been expected both to inspect and test exhaustively.

Your right to cancel
If for any reason you aren’t 100% happy with your purchase, you have the right to cancel your order and return the item(s) to us within seven days of purchase, or within seven days of receipt of goods (whichever is the longer). Items must be unused and returned, with original packaging intact, and received in a resalable condition. Please contact us at: fundraising@springhill.org.uk to notify us and return your item(s) to Springhill Hospice, Broad Lane, Rochdale, OL16 4PZ.

You shall be responsible for the cost of returning goods for refund or exchange, except in cases of goods which do not correspond with the contract of sale such as faulty, damaged, inaccurately described or wrongly supplied goods. We shall use reasonable endeavours' to replace damaged or defective goods but if replacement is not possible, or if an order is cancelled for any other reason under these terms and conditions, our only obligation is to refund the full amount paid by you.

The refund for the order will be processed back onto the original payment method and will be completed within 7 working days of receiving the goods back.

Faulty or Damaged Items
All goods are examined in detail by ourselves prior to despatch to ensure that they leave us in perfect condition. However, transit damage unfortunately can occur. If your purchase is showing obvious signs of transit damage upon delivery please notify us immediately.

If you suspect your product is faulty please contact us at using the details below and then return it to us at Springhill Hospice, Broad Lane, Rochdale, OL16 4PZ for inspection. If the product is found to be faulty we will exchange the product or offer a full refund.

Any damage caused by normal wear and tear, misuse, alteration to the product or negligence will not be covered under our Returns Policy and we are within our rights to refuse a refund.

Our website is operated and controlled from the United Kingdom and these terms and conditions and your use of this website are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the relevant part of the United Kingdom.

We will try to solve any disagreements quickly and efficiently. If you are not happy with the way we deal with any disagreement the address for complaints is Springhill Hospice, Broad Lane, Rochdale, OL16 4PZ.

Sales on this web site are governed by English law and you agree to submit any dispute to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. All orders are subject to these terms and conditions and no amendments will be accepted by us. These terms and conditions do not affect your legal rights.

These terms and conditions only cover the Springhill Hospice web site. Any other web sites to which you link from this site may be governed by their own terms and conditions. We accept no responsibility or liability for the content of web sites which are not under our control.

We are required by law to tell you that sales can be concluded in English only and that we do not file copies of customer contracts.
