£30 Challenge

OPEN NOW By taking part in Springhill’s £30 challenge, you can help your students learn how to grow and invest their money wisely. If your school enters Springhill's £30 Challenge you will receive a £30 start-up investment, it will then be up to you to come up with ideas on how to grow this fund; whether that be planning events, creating a product, or starting a small independent business. The challenge is completely flexible - pitch it at any level and have as many teams or year groups competing as you like. Your whole school can take part, or you can set year groups, classes or houses against each other to reach the goal of most money raised for Springhill. There will be prizes awarded for: • The most money raised • The most innovative fundraising idea Your pupils can unleash their inner Alan Sugar whilst growing their fundraising empire. They will develop budgeting, procurement and sales skills whilst building confidence and understanding of money and mathematical skills. Light Up a Life 2024

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our one of our Light up a Life celebrations this year. Please note, we are still taking dedications for stars on our trees until they come down in January, so you are still able to make a donation in your loved one's honour. You can also watch our virtual celebration below and see our Book of Lights. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Springhill Hospice invites you to dedicate a light on our tree and join others in remembering those exceptional people who have brought joy and light to your life. What is Light up a Life? Light up a Life provides a chance for you to remember and celebrate the lives of your loved ones, by dedicating a light on our beautiful Hospice tree. Hundreds of lights will shine brightly, each in memory of those you love, turning our garden into a haven of light and hope. You can make a donation of your choice to dedicate your light in memory of your loved one. Each dedication will mean our patients and their loved ones will receive the care they need to make every moment count. You will receive a personalised card, displaying your loved one’s name, and a Light up a Life home pack including a dedication star which you can personalise with your own special memory.

Christmas Tree Collection

Springhill’s Christmas Tree Collection Service is back and the Hospice team will be out from Friday 10th – Monday 13th January 2025 to collect trees across the borough of Rochdale. For a minimum donation of £10 the team will collect your tree from outside your property. From there your tree will be taken to the Hospice where it will be recycled and turned into chippings. The chippings are then used for pathways and garden beds within the Hospice grounds. Before booking please ensure that you live in a property within the postcode areas listed below. Please also be aware that we cannot stipulate an exact date that your tree will be picked up. There are lots of factors that can affect the tree collection service (not least the great British weather!) Postcodes we will collect from: OL10, OL11, OL12, OL14, OL15,OL16, M24 You will need to leave your tree in an accessible place outside your property from 8am on Friday 10th January 2025. To enable us to plan the collection routes effectively the booking system will close at 12pm on Wednesday 8th January. After this date we are unable to guarantee booking in your tree for collection. Drink Reception 12.00pm Three Course Lunch 12.30pm Women of Rochdale Luncheon 2025 will be on Friday 25th April at Rochdale Golf Club. Event will start at 12pm with welcome drinks, three course dinner is at 12.30pm. There will be entertainment all day and we will crown the Woman of Rochdale 2025. Location: Trafford Palazzo, Trafford City, Greater, Manchester, M17 8AS Date: Saturday 28th June 2025 Cost: £0 fees but a minimum sponsorship total of £200 If you’re looking for your next exhilarating fundraising event then join us at one of the largest abseil events in the North West. The Trafford Palazzo abseil is great for a team building day or your next challenge, you will be abseiling 170 feet down the side of Barton Square Tower. We have limited places, so show your interest today by filling out the form below. Training will be provided on the day, and all safety equipment and guidance. You can set up your fundraising page here and we will support you along the way. Once you have booked your place, we will be in touch closer to the time to confirm your allocated time slot. You cannot participate if you are: Under 11 years old Pregnant Under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs If any of the following apply, you must seek professional medical advice before abseiling and sign a non-standard waiver: High blood pressure Heart condition Suffer from dizziness or epilepsy Damage to neck, back, spinal column, legs or eyes Asthma Medication – if you are taking any form of prescribed medication, please inform us of how this may affect you Aged 50 years or above: we strongly advise that you seek medical advice prior to taking part.

3 Reservoir Ramble

TICKETS NOT ON SALE YET - SIGN UP FOR OUR EVENT REMINDERS BELOW TO BE THE FIRST TO KNOW Walk in memory of your loved ones around our beautiful local surroundings with the 3 Reservoir Ramble. The ramble will start at 10.30am from the gardens of the Oxford and take you over the hills of Healey Stones across to Wardle, passing 3 reservoirs: Hamer Pasture, Brown House Wham and Watergrove reservoir. Total walk distance is around 12km (7.5miles) and is an off road walk over open countryside. Participants will receive an event specific t-shirt, a certificate and refreshments. Ticket prices will help fund palliative care in your community through Springhill Hospice. T-shirts will be available to collect from the Springhill Hub the week before the event or on the day.
