Hard working efforts by staff employed at Zen Internet have seen the princely sum of £9,000 raised for Springhill Hospice.
The award winning telecommunications and internet service provider, with headquarters at Sandbrook Park, nominated Springhill as their Charity of the Year twelve months ago. Since then they have been pulling together to support the Hospice with everything from cake bakes to car washes – and lots of running, which included the Great North Run, Great Manchester Run and the Rochdale 10K with Zen Managing Director Richard Tang also taking on the Cologne Half Marathon.
Zen’s charity fundraising ‘Scrum Master’ Natalie Hodgson said, “We have had a brilliant time raising money over the past year for Springhill and could not have been happier to support such a worthy local charity. Many colleagues here have personal experience, in one way or another, of the quality of care they provide and we are all delighted to have reached the £9,000 figure.”
Julie Halliwell, Chief Executive at Springhill Hospice said, “This is a magnificent achievement by everybody at Zen Internet and a huge amount of money to raise. I would like to thank everyone who joined in, in so many ways, to support the Hospice with so much enthusiasm.”
Zen’s nominated charity for the next 12 months is Petrus Rochdale.
