The clinical care provided by the Hospice is underpinned by a range of corporate services comprising administration, finance, fundraising and support services (catering, cleaning, etc.). Staff working in these areas focus on the non-clinical aspects of patient and visitor care, as well as facilitating the resourcing of patient services.
We are committed to promoting excellence in all aspects of our work.
The Hospice is very much embedded in the community and is receives huge support from the people of Rochdale and surrounding areas. We also attract hundreds of volunteers who help and support our patients in all areas of the Hospice, its charity shops and fundraising generally.
The total cost of providing hospice services is nearly £4 million per year, our community service is fully funded by the CCG. The CCG also fund approximately a third of our remaining patient service costs.
To ensure we can keep our doors open we rely very much on the generosity of our donors and supporters to raise in excess of £7,500 per day. In addition to donations and legacies this income is raised by our lottery members, retail customers, and event participants.
