The 2.6 Campaign
Join Springhill and the rest of the nation in the 2.6 Challenge
With our fundraising events being postponed, including Hospice to Hospice Walk, Women of Rochdale Luncheon and Go Green because of the Covid-19 pandemic, we now face the challenge of continuing to raise funds for the Hospice through this challenging time.
Up and down the country charities who are facing similar struggles are coming together to take part in the 2.6 Challenge. This national campaign has been launched by the organisers of the UK's biggest mass participation event, the London Marathon. Its aim is to help save UK charities by raising a total of £67 million, approximately the amount raised by the London Marathon which has now also been postponed to later in the year.
You don’t have to be super fit to take part and you can even take part staying at home!
Be one of our Stay at Home Heroes
From Sunday 26 April, join the rest of the UK for The 2.6 Challenge and raise vital funds to make sure that we are able to continue providing care for our patients and their families during this most difficult time.
Like charities up and down the country, our Hospice still needs to raise funds so that we are able to continue to provide our services to our communities. Our Doctors and Nurses continue to work tirelessly throughout the current Covid-19 crisis to provide the essential care to our patients both at the Hospice and by visiting people in their homes. All of this is only possible with the generous help of you, our supporters.
Take the 2.6 Challenge for Springhill
The 2.6 Challenge is open to people of all ages and is designed for families, individuals, groups or businesses. To take part all you need to do is create an activity that is related to the numbers 2.6 or 26. This could be something as simple as pledging to run or walk 2.6 miles as your daily exercise, 26 laps of the garden, 26 minutes dancing along to your favourite singer or your very own Bake Off to make 26 biscuits! The only rule is that whatever activity you do adheres to the Governments guidelines on exercise and social distancing. Whatever you do, get involved, have fun and pledge what you can to help.
