Springhill Hospice will be celebrating the summer this year with two wonderful outdoor events.
On the evening of Saturday July 23rd supporters will be invited into the Hospice’s award winning grounds to sit back, relax and take in the evening sunshine, whilst listening to beautiful music at the annual Summer Serenade. The Hospice’s lawns will be laden with people on deck chairs and picnic blankets, full hampers at their sides, listening to the voices and music of The Greater Manchester Police Male Voice Choir and the amazing vocals of local choir, Voice. Tickets: £7 (inc glass of wine) available online www.springhill.org.uk/summer-serenade or from the fundraising office above Springhill Tea Room & Gift Shop 01706 641790
Open Garden Day - How better to show off the Hospice’s North West in Bloom Gold Award Winning Gardens than to open them up to the public. The Hospice’s Open Garden Day is on Sunday 7th August and will see Head Gardener Nick Dent giving escorted tours of the beautiful grounds between 11am – 3pm. Nick and his team will be showing the community the fruits of their daily labours both in the flower gardens and the huge vegetable garden that supplies the Hospice kitchen. Visitors will also have the opportunity to watch experts give floral and hanging basket demonstrations, sample the delights of homemade refreshments including freshly made pizza from Springhill’s new wood burning pizza oven, plus the chance to buy a variety of homemade goodies and Hospice grown plants. Entry is £3 and everyone is welcome.
