You will ascend the highest mountain in Wales, at 1085 metres, via the Llanberis Path. This is the longest and most gradual of the six main paths to the summit of Snowdon, with fantastic views over the Menai straights towards Anglesey. This hard and strenuous 14.5km mountain walk will involve an approximate 6-8 hour round trip although for the more adventurous you can take the added challenge of returning via the last part of the Snowdon Horseshoe down the Miners Track to finish at Pen-y-Pass.
To complete the walk you should be in good physical condition. To improve your chance of success three training walks are provided. It is very important that you also walk and train in between these organised training walks. Condition training is a great way to improve your fitness, eg weights, swimming, gym classes.
Booking and costs:
The entry fee is £30 per person. To register please complete the form below.
In addition to your entry fee we also ask you to set a fundraising target to raise money for the Hospice. By doing this you will be helping to provide hospice care services to patients and their families. Our suggested minimum fundraising target is £150.
Your entry fee includes:
- Support from a qualified mountain leader with first aid certification throughout the challenge.
- Three separate guided groups of different abilities.
- Map and emergency contact numbers.
- Three one day training walks.
When you sign up for the Snowdon Summit Challenge you are invited to join any, or all, of our three, one-day training walks, at no extra cost. The training walks are organised and led by Mountain Edge. We recommend that you take advantage of these to help build your fitness and to give you an idea of what you might face during the Challenge. You will receive information about the training walks when you sign up for the Snowdon Summit Challenge.
