Working together to support each other
This year has been like nothing we’ve known before and these last months have been difficult for everyone, but perhaps especially for children. We are reaching out to schools to see if there is anything that Springhill Hospice can do to offer support for when pupils return, as currently planned, in September.
New for Schools this Christmas time - Something to smile about
We have given some thought to how we could best support schools interested in undertaking a fundraising activity with us this year. Our two new ideas for festive activities will help to give children a familiar and fun way to celebrate and socialise and for schools to be able to potentially hold a school-based activity in a way that is practical and safe, and adaptable to the circumstances at the time with regard to social distancing. Take a look at this short video and we would be pleased to provide more information.
Arrangements can also be made with schools interested in utilising any support or information from the Hospice. We are always pleased to visit, to talk in assembly or with a particular year group, celebrate the achievements of your children and to get involved with school events or support areas of the curriculum. If that proves to be possible in some way – even remotely - then please get in touch.
If you are interested in arranging a school visit or in taking part in the Reindeer Run or Wear your Woollies Day:
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org or ring 01706 641790 and our Community Support Fundraiser will make contact with you.
Every year, schools get involved in raising money and supporting worthwhile causes and by choosing Springhill Hospice you will be helping local families in our communities to receive the care and support they need when someone has been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness.
Your support for the Hospice not only provides much needed funding or practical help but it is valued in schools for the opportunity it gives to help children and young people develop their own skills in a number of ways and an understanding of the communities in which they live.
There are many ways we can help support schools in doing this. With our specially designed range of support materials and fundraising activities we will make sure that this is interesting and engaging and that your fundraising activities are fun and accessible to all.
