Meet the team
My job is to embrace all forms of media to enhance our presence and raise awareness of the Hospice in the local community. I write articles for the local press, I have created and will be updating our new website (www.springhill.org.uk). Twice a year I write our fundraising newsletter and then in December produce Springhill's Annual review. If you see a social media post, that's probably me and finally it's my great pleasure to organise our 3 annual sponsored walks.
New to the team, my role is to support fundraisers in the community raise money for the Hospice. I offer help and advice to anyone who needs assistance with their fundraising venture. Whether a supporter needs collecting buckets, a Springhill running vest or help with planning their event - I'm here to help.
I’m the lady who organises all our bigger events such as the Spring, Summer and Christmas Fairs, The Man and Woman of Rochdale Luncheons and the Golf Day, the list goes on. It’s a busy role but I enjoy every minute of it.
It’s my business to know your business, not on a personal level I might add! I have developed a scheme called Business Buddies, the idea of which is to forge links between the local business community and the Hospice. I’m also involved in the Rochdale Business Awards and our ‘Foods Around the World’ evenings, in fact, like everyone in the fundraising team, I can turn my hand to anything.
We are the backbone of the Fundraising and Income Services teams providing the team with administrative support, be it sending out letters of thanks, updating and maintaining our data-base or co-ordinating the mailing lists for events.
Springy The Frog
It is my job to meet, greet and entertain all of our supporters from youngsters in prams to grannies in rollers. People try to walk past me without cracking a smile, but it is difficult not to fall in love with my gregarious green charm.
