Leave a gift in your will

Make a Will with one of our Partner Solicitors

For the whole of 2023 local solicitors are kindly donating their time and services to help people like you create your will.

How does making a will help Springhill Hospice?

In return for making a Will with one of our Make a Will Champion Solicitors, we ask for a £100 donation for a single will and £180 for a mirror will – the same cost the solicitor would usually charge.

  •  £107 could provide a visit from one of our Specialist Palliative Care Nurses to a patient in their own home
  • £123 could provide a Night Sitting service in a patients home, so their loved one can get some rest
  • £197 could provide care from a specialist Palliative Care Nurse for a day

How does it work?

  • Book an appointment with one of our partner solicitors using the link below, or give them a call
  • Attend your appointment and let the solicitor know what you want to include in your will.
  • It helps to have consider things before you attend your appointment and make sure that you bring along proof of name and address.
  • The Solicitor will then send over a drafted version of your Will to check.
  • Once you are happy with the contents, you will be invited in to sign your Will.
  • When your Will has been signed and witnessed, it will be legal and effective.
  • We will then be in contact to allow you to make your kind donation to the Hospice.

The solicitor we have partnered with this month is:

AST Hampsons

Make every moment count by leaving Springhill a gift in your will

In years to come your gift could make a big difference,
giving a patient and their family peace and dignity at the end of life…

Once you have taken care of your loved ones and those you care about, thinking about the Hospice in your will can make a real difference to those who may need Springhill in the future.

Dedicating just 1% of your assets to Springhill would still allow 99% of your will to go to your loved ones.

A bequest to Springhill Hospice will help:

  • Provide specialist palliative care for local people with life limiting illnesses, either in our Inpatient Unit, or with our Community and Hospice at Home services
  • Supply patients with comprehensive symptom control management, pain relief, rehabilitation and end of life care
  • Allow the services of Day Therapies to continue, ensuring patients are able to continue living at home, while still benefitting from all the facilities available at the Hospice
  • To maintain and enhance the quality of life for our patients, caring for each of them with dignity, sensitivity and understanding
  • To support through education, a range of health care professionals
  • To care for patients’ loved ones during illness and in the event of a bereavement

Springhill is proud to offer all these services free of charge to patients and their relatives
