Last weekend we hosted our famous annual Christmas Fair on Sunday 24 November, this time in a new venue.
The fair is usually based in the Hospice grounds, however this year after careful consideration the Christmas event was moved just around the corner to Kingsway Park High School, allowing more visitors and stallholders to join in the festive fair.
The fair was the biggest yet with almost 90 stalls filled with gifts, raffles, tombola’s, food, Santa’s Grotto and more! It was packed with visitors from across the Borough and beyond.
The fair was officially opened by Mayor of Rochdale, Billy Sherrin, Mayor of Whitworth Lynda Barnes, Chair of the Board at Springhill , Robert Clegg OBE and of course Springy the Frog!
Rebekah Cheshire, Springhill’s Events and Campaigns Fundraiser said “What a fantastic new venue Kingsway Park has been for us this year! We’ve had a lovely day of fundraising, with lots of new space for people to browse our variety of stalls. It was great to have both the Mayor of Rochdale and the Mayor of Whitworth with us to open our fair and it’s always great to see people from the borough supporting care in our community. I would like to say a really big thank to all our Springhill staff, volunteers and every single supporter who made our Christmas Fair a fabulous, festive and fun day for all.”
