Day Hospice

Our Day Hospice has been closed since March 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, however, we are piloting a virtual service for any patient in Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale with a life limiting condition.

We are offering a virtual wellbeing group programme and a self-management supportive group programme for patients and also a carer’s support group.

The Wellbeing group programme has themed live sessions: arts and crafts, arm chair exercises, quizzes and games, prayer & talk, discussions groups, relaxation and hand massage and gardening projects.

More information is available in our leaflet here.

The Self-Management group programme teaches strategies which can help you to take control of your symptoms. Sessions include Fatigue, Anxiety, Breathlessness, Sleep, Pain, Fall Prevention and the Importance of Staying Active, Gastrointestinal Problems and Nutrition and Planning for the Future.

For those who are offline we are providing 1:1 self-management support via telephone consultation and providing written instructions.

More information is available in our leaflet here.
