A wonderful concert 'Prosecco at the Parish' at St Mary's Parish Church, High Crompton has raised an amazing £964.50 for Springhill Hospice.
The concert was the idea of the brilliantly talented local soprano Elizabeth Phillips - who also helped, so beautifully, to entertain the audience recently at the Springhill Summer Serenade concert in the Hospice grounds.
At the church, Elizabeth presented a lovely evening of songs from opera, musical theatre and more, supported by the excellent Saddleworth Male Voice Choir.
Said Hospice fundraiser Barbara Lloyd, "We would like to thank everyone who supported the concert and helped to make it such a success and especially Elizabeth for her hard work and enthusiasm."
A special mention also goes to 'CLASP', the group of volunteers responsible for charity links at St Mary's.
