The catering staff at Springhill Hospice work together as a qualified team, providing meals for patients and families, staff and volunteers. In 2006 their endeavours were rewarded with a gold medal in the Health Food Awards and they have received the highest rating for Food Hygiene, awarded by the Food Standards Agency.
The food is freshly prepared daily, using quality products from local suppliers and produce from our very down vegetable gardens.
Patients’ dietary requirements are fully catered for and we make every effort to cater for individual needs.
We have no objections if relatives want to bring in something special for the patient. Relatives and friends are welcome to order from the daily menu which can be done via Hospice Reception.
Meals are served in the Dining Room, Conservatory or at the bedside, wherever the patient likes to eat.
