The regulars at the Bulls Head pub at Smallbridge are a big hearted bunch. Led by landlord and landlady, Paul and Kay Quinn, they are regular supporters of Springhill Hospice, dropping coins into the collecting pot on the counter and rallying round for everything from raffles to karaoke. But their latest fundraising activity has taken on a more sporty direction.
Recent activities include a fundraising night hosted by the ladies’ darts team and an event organised by the men’s golf team. Putting the money raised together, the total amount handed over to Springhill Hospice at the pub combined to create the fantastic fundraising total of £904.49.
Hospice event fundraiser Anna Moran went along to the pub and passed on a vote of thanks from all at the Hospice. She said, “The Bulls Head pub is a long-term supporter of Springhill and I’d like to pass on our appreciation for everything they do. The pub serves as a real heart for the local community and the support they give, and the money they are able to donate, makes such a difference to the care we are able to give our patients and their families.”
