When it comes to fundraising, Comfy Quilts have it covered!
Staff at both Middleton & Wilmslow depots of bedding manufacturers Comfy Quilts soon became a fundraising dream for Springhill Hospice, having chosen to support the Rochdale palliative care facility throughout 2015.
Colleagues from every department got involved not just with their own events but Hospice initiatives too.
“What a fantastic team. When they first got in touch with the fundraising office we had no idea how much involvement the staff would have and also what a staggering amount of money they were going to raise for patient care at the Hospice” said Lillie Winterbottom, Springhill’s Community Fundraiser.
“Not a month would go by without Jane or Debbie (pictured) getting in touch to tell us of their plans or to register for one of our events. Whether it was the sales team taking on a coast to coast cycle ride orthe finance team dressing up for the Santa Dash, they allgot involved, raised money and above all enjoyed themselves” added Lillie
When Springy the Hospice frog went along to Comfy Quilts at Stakehill last week he was in for one or two nice surprises! Firstly he was treated to one of his favourite activities…..a pillow fight and secondly, the biggest surprise of all, a cheque for £10,000.00!
“The support of the local community is overwhelming but it’s not just the amount of money raised but also the huge efforts that people have gone to, all for the Hospice. Thank you to everyone at Comfy Quilts, to the staff, the directors and of course to all those fantastic sponsors” said Lillie Winterbottom
